From Patong Beach
Take the back road (Sirirat Road)
to Patong-Karon Road. Go straight and use the beach road up to Kata
Beach. Kata Beach Resort and Spa is next to Club Med.
From Phuket Town
Take Chaofa Road out of town to
the Chalong roundabouts. Take the route to Karon Beach. A sign board
on the left will point the way to Kata Beach Resort and Spa.

After complaining about the room, we were given a better one on the top floor and closer to the main area. The view was great and the pool wonderful. The breakfast looks impressive, but not the greatest. Quality of cooking not that good. You have to get your own coffee and usualy it was empty . They cleared the food before 10AM or ran out of things way before. Kata Beach is OK, but too far from airport and taxis are the only way to get around after a certain time. Do not understand why we have to pay 200Baht to use a chair on the beach, <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span> |

Big and very impersonal hotel, great location, ideal for families. Staff OK but not that traditional Thai hospitality except for housekeeping staff. We came, we left and no great memories, guest just another number! |

Kata Beach Resort, Phuket 83100 - Review ...
First of all, all beaches in Phuket are public, which I think is great. The hotel is build against the public beach, and you can walk straight into the sea. If you want a 100% seaview from your lounger, you have to rent a beachchair on the public beach (100 bath, about 2.50 euro per day). The hotel has great chairs as well, but only a limited amount overlook the andaman sea, the rest overlook the pool.
Nice big rooms, we had one with a fantactic view over the ocean. However, if you prefer the staff to be friendly and helpful, go to another hotel, you chose this hotel purely for it s location. Expect a lot of Rusians, but they never bother me (I secretly borrow their chairs when they are at the beach, leaving their hotel-towel at the chairs at the pool, haha). Dont eat at the hotel, there are plenty of nice and cheaper restaurants in the close area. Sawadee was perfect. I was a first time user, but will certainly use it again when traveling to Asia. |
