Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket is not only aiming
to satisfy the leisure market. The resort also offers a wide choice
of versatile convention and meeting rooms to make it particularly attractive
to MICE planners, organizers of corporate meetings, and for those individual
business travelers. At 576 square meters plus a pre-function area of
240 square meters, Phuket Grand Ballroom is the biggest venue at the
resort and capable of accommodating up to 820 persons seated theatre-style
for meetings, private receptions banquets, and extensive outdoor functions
and receptions. Phuket Grand Ballroom is also divisible into two equal
parts Phuket Ballroom 1 and Phuket Ballroom 2.
The 3 meeting
rooms adjacent to the Phuket Grand Ballroom are Colombus, Madalena,
and Santiago. Madalena and Santiago can accommodate 12 persons each
seated classroom-style while Colombus has a seating capacity of up to
24 persons seated classroom-style. The 2 boardrooms located on the Mezzanine
floor, Marco Polo and Vera Cruz can accommodate up to 15 persons each
seated u-shape-style.
Should you be taking a trip with a business
note, then a range of meeting facilities including internet and email
services are at your call. TV, video, screen, LCD projector, overhead

We stayed at this hotel in Karon beach for fourteen nights and it was a wonderful experience. The Thai staff was very friendly and our room were great. We stayed in a premium spa deluxe room with a jacuzzi on the balcony and enjoyed the beautiful view of the andaman sea and karon beach from our balcony because it was placed on the top floor (4th). We were thinking of booking a pool room instead but these were much more expensive so we didn´t and I´m glad. The pool room was placed on 1st floor with possibility for everybody who passed through to have a look into your room so the privacy was very bad and no opportunity to sunbath.
The pool area was great with lots of different pools to choose from, my favorite was the lazy river with the waterslides and waterfall. The nature around is just beautiful.
The location of this hotel is perfect if you don´t mind walking or taking a Taxi if you´re going somewhere. It´s still close to Karon center but we travelled with our daughter and had to bring a stroller every time, and when going from the hotel you either need to go by the beach or by the road and by the road there aren´t any sidewalk for about 30 metres and quite some traffic, and by night we didn´t want to go on the beach.
Downside with the distance to other restaurants is that we ate lunch at the hotel everyday and it´s quite more expensive there then at the locals. Also the spa was quite expensive but still very good value for your money, at least compared to my home country, Sweden.
Overall I would highly recommend this hotel, it´s children friendly but not as loud as a normal family hotel so it´s also friendly for people just wanting some peace and quiet. Hope this will be to your help in choosing your next Thai hotel. |
I was first very nervous that this site would trick me because I hand´t heard anything about it and the prices was much lower than the hotel could offer, but absolutely not. Everything went smooth and I payed everything at home so I didn´t have to make sure there was money on my Visa when checking out. I will definietly book through Res24. com again. |

Easy to review and pick which rooms we wanted and the actula rooms were better than pictures on internet. Suggest you update better pictures of the resort as internet does not do it justice. |
