River Kwai Resort was only recently completed on a giant 250 Rai
(or 64.000 m2 / 40 Hectares / 16 Acers) plot in a mostly untouched part
of Kanchanaburi Province. Although the Nakakiri Resort & Spa Kanchanaburi
is fully equipped & capable to handle large groups of guests for seminars,
mini conferences and company get-away's, it's only in the central part
of the resort where the huge swimming pool, the restaurant and lobby
building and the most comfortable of our accommodations: the Villa's
are, where you will see activity during the week. The wooden floating
raft houses with their very fine bed- and bathrooms are traditionally
most popular with both our Thai guests as well as the international
explorers of Thailand that tend to spend only 1 or 2 nights in Kanchanaburi
and come to really connect with nature, while the two storey Kiri Village
buildings see a lot of single or dual day organized tour visitors that
want to get away from all the tourism and noise in Kanchanaburi city
or make just a short trip from Bangkok, Hua Hin or even Pattaya.

ACCOMMODATIONS
River kwai raft rooms and the beautiful Poolside and
River View villa's in the Nakakiri Resort & Spa in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.

42 Superior River View The most affordable
and easy to reach accommodations in our River Kwai Resort. These Kiri
village rooms are often indicated as standard rooms, yet they can easily
compete with any type of superior or deluxe room in most other resorts
in Kanchanaburi. Even though these are two floor buildings, the rooms
have high ceilings and they are soundproofed. Of course, these excellent
rooms offer not only all of the comforts and luxuries as listed above,
most of them also provide a excellent view of the river kwai and our
gardens next to it. Those that bring their own car will be pleased that
many of the Kiri Village Hotel rooms offer the possibility to park in
front, or actually behind those hotel rooms. Definitely not as close
as you could in a motel, but the car will be certainly be near enough
to check on, or hear if there is an alarm going off. Not that that will
happen anytime soon, thanks to the somewhat remote location of the resort,
but more so due to the fact that we have security guards on duty 24
hours / day and their booth is less than 50 meters away from the Kiri
Village rooms.

20 Floating House (Raft)
The most "authentic" of all types of accommodations in the Nakakiri
Resort & Spa. These typical Kanchanaburi style floating raft houses
will really make you feel closer to the River Kwai and the impressive
jungle on the opposite side of this famous river. You will love noticing
the differences in flow speed, but you will want to stay there forever
because of the breathtaking views in the early mornings, when a light
fog slowly surrenders to rising sun. We highly recommend these river
raft houses to those that are traveling around Thailand and want to
experience as much different locations and surroundings as possible;
to groups that prefer to have their own little place away from the other
guests and to those that just find more joy in being close to (true)
nature, rather than the luxuries of having a swimming pool side villa.

Nakakiri Resort & Spa, Kanchanaburi 71180 - Review ...
The hotel staff were friendly but there were many problems with the resort. They had barely any items that were on the menu and our room wasn t cleaned until 4pm despite us asking twice. There was a big group of people staying (54) and so my husband and I felt very sidelined and uncomfortable at dinner as there was not enough space and it was very noisy, with not enough staff to go round. The resort does not feel very natural, there was a lot of building work going on and a lot of bare ground. The hot springs were not running despite being on the website. Overall, poor value for money. |
Excellent as always!! |
