Chiang Rai is
the northernmost province of Thailand with the border to Myanmar at
Mae Sai District where people often talk about visiting the Mae Sai
Thai - Burmese Market to shop for products from China and Russia while
in fact Chiang Rai has a lot more ( and a lot better) to offer.
The city of Chiang Rai was founded in 1262 AD by King Meng Rai and
was the first capital of Lanna Kingdom (Kingdom of a Million Rice Fields).
It contains manifold historic relating with other cities like Chiang
Saen which was once the centre of power of the long-gone Lanna Kingdom.
In this modern day, Chiang Saen is a part of Chiang Rai Province and
preserved as historical site. The distance is about 45 kilometers away
from the city of Chiang Rai. On
the bank of The River Kok.
- - 7 km. to Chiang Rai Airport.
- - 3 km. to City Center and Night Bazaar.
- - 12 km. to Santi Buri International Golf Course.
- - 40 km. to Water Ford International Golf Course.
- - 60 km. to Doi Tung / Golden Triangle and other places of interest.

The Imperial River House Resort, Chiang Rai 57100 - Review ...
The resort was magnificent. Our room was beautiful with a fabulous view of the pool and the river. The spacious bathtub was a bonus. The breakfast menu was very good and having breakfast outside by the pool and the garden was memorable. I will tell my friends. |
Sawadee does a good job as usual. I have used them several times before and will refer to them again in the future. |

The River House hotel is excellent, clean and very comfortable. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The situation is perfect alongside the river and just out of town, very peaceful. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping] |

The Imperial River House Resort, Chiang Rai 57100 - Review ...
This hotel is an oasis of calm, with excellent staff and excursion services, the food is varied and very good. The hotel would benefit its guests by providing a bar and air conditioning in the lobby. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping] |
