I actually stayed in two rooms with contrasting experience. The first was a twin bed (superior) room which was very big. It was relatively clean-ish though the walls had mold growth patches in some areas. This was most prevalent in the bathroom which was unventilated (naturally or mechanically). The bath was also rather dirty. Also no tea making facilities which I would expect in a hotel of this price (It s not expensive, but I ve stayed in cheaper with better room facilities). I moved to a deluxe room for final two nights and this room was far better. Also big and most importantly clean, with tea making facilities and stocked mini bar. Not sure if this was all because of the upgrade in room, but frankly, all rooms should surely maintain the same standards. Called room service on my first night and it took 2 hours (after much calling back to room service and reception) for my food to arrive. Part of this was due to the fact that most of the staff do not speak good English. To be fair, it appears that the hotel mostly caters for Thai business travelers and there were very few westerners there during my stay. On the plus side, the food is good (buffet breakfast par for the course) as are the hotel facilities (gym, pool, laundry, restaurant). There s also a nice bar on site which has live music every night. Also a night club next door, which surprisingly does not create too much noise pollution for the hotel guests at night. Location is excellent too. All in all a mixed bag really. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span> |

A very nice hotel with nice big rooms.Nice and helpful staff.The pool is ok. Good breakfast and nice restaurant outside the entrance with very good sushi. We like to spend a few days in Trang on Thumrin Thana Hotels <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span> |

Good value for money hotel. Looks like one of the best in the town area. Good size room, clean, well maintained. Lobby and breakfast were very good. |

Very old and not maintained Hotel (a lot of dust and humidity).
For information, there s a Night club on the ground floor booming in the entire Hotel all night long (for the bad or good?). |

We very dis-pointed cause We want to print comfirm paper from flight but They not allow to print event i saw printer infront of me. Event they said they have Business Center. Poor Help less.

Upside: Although dated, the room was clean with good facilities and very large. We were put on the 11th floor. The staff were very friendly. The pool was OK.
Downside: The nightclub downstairs can be heard from the 11th floor (on weekends only), but my wife could sleep through the mild boom-boom, but I could not. Breakfast was elaborate but nothing looked appetising.
Would I stay again? Seems like the only decent hotel in Trang! <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span> |

Stayed at Thumrin Thana for one night during our trip down to the south of Thailand.
Said to be the finest hotel in Trang, but that really isnt as fancy as it sounds.
It´s possible that Thumrin Thana was quite a luxurious stay back in the 80-ies, but nowadays the hotel is in a desperate need of renovation. The price is quite OK though, so for a single night, it does its job well as a hotel. Staff was really good. Food at the hotel restaurant was a DISASTER! Try to find food out on the town instead. Breakfast buffet was pretty large, but VERY strange and not very good, probably made for chinese or japanese guests only...
Trang is not a tourist town, and that makes it kind of interesting to visit it. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span> |

Overall a nice hotel a short walk away from the city center. Staff very friendly and helpful, free transfer service from/to airport. Rooms are large, fairly clean but some rooms in need of painting new carpets etc. Breakfast (american/continental) not very inspiring, but thai breakfast very good. Only problem is the extremely noisy Say Yes nightclub at the groundfloor, be sure to get a room at a topfloor if you want to sleep. Staff at the nightclub a bit pushy and overcharging for the beers, I paid from 120-160 baht for a Heineken, and staff refused to change a deep frozen beer! The outside terrasse bar is a much better option. |
Fast, efficient and reliable. I have used before and will certainly use again. Sawadee offers the rooms at Thumrin Thana Hotel at a much better price than the hotels own website. |

Good value for money if you get stuck in Trang, a good walk from the centralstation and shops, but nothing is far away in Trang. Helpful staff, but their knowledge of english is quite poor. I accidentally left a ring in the room (probably slipped under the bed), but they were not taking that too seriously and didn t look in the room until the following day after I REALLY insisted, which I find odd and poor service. The rooms area bit worn, but general quaklity of breakfast and airport shuttle makes me want to recommend the hotel to anyone! <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span> |
