breakfast was like a Balkan cattle charge.
no bacon,no tomatoes,no beens,although if you like spagetti bol. or beef strogonoff for breakfast you will love it!! |

We have now stay at Grand Jomtien Palace
so many times and will always go back.
Everything is perfect. Only minus is that by the time there is so many rusian turist at the hotel. |
Our booking and our change to the reservation was perfect. |

Good cost performance!
I love the swimming pools (there re 3 pools?).
Great ocian view!
But little dissapointed with TV was flapping even I asked to fix the cable..and surprised with the flood after bathing...
Anyway, this is Thailand let s just forget small things^^

Very nice hotel, nicly situated in front of the beach. Have several swimming pool which is a plus since the sea in Pattaya/Jomtien Beach isn t often great. Situated in a area than is less noisy, restaurants are situated within walking distance but none that are great. Staff was very nice and friendly too. Room is a little old & maybe new TV s are needed to make it better. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span> |

Good hotel right across from the beach. Top deluxe rooms are ocean front, higher deluxe rooms have decent ocean view, all others have no views of the ocean and you can t enjoy ocean breezes on your balcony. Front desk people very nice, pool is nice, and buffet breakfast OK. Octagon bar is a nice mellow place to eat and relax at night. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span> |

This hotel is a little old but still it is a good hotel in relation to price. The hotel is large and has several swimming pools. The hotel is close to the beach and breakfast is good. I would recommend this hotel if you want to live in Jomtien away from noise and disturbance in the city center. Good rooms, good facilities and amenities, excellent breakfast. The beach is overcrowded, the water is polluted. Fortunately the hotel has a splendid pool area.The rooms could be refurbished. The staff is friendly and helpful.The fellow guests and their behaviour may disturb you, mass tourism: Russian and German groups in abundance. |

Meine Familie war schon fuenf Mal an der Jomtien Beach. Bisher schon waren wir mit den Hotels hier sehr zufrieden, haben aber bisher immer das Hotel gewechselt, um etwas Abwechslung zu haben.
Dieses Mal jedoch waren wir mit dem Hotel so zufrieden, dass wir das naechste Mal wieder hierherkommen. Herrliches, taeglich wechselndes Fruehstueck (man kann es wohl eher mit dem Wort >Brunch< beschreiben. 3 superschoene, grosse Swimmingpools. Ein wirklich riesiges Zimmer und, und , und ... Koennte fuer diesen Preis (nur 3-stoeckiges Chalet Wing - 1350 Baht) gar nicht genug ins Schwaermen kommen. Vielleicht sind nur die Cottages am >Shamu-Pool< besser. Wirklich sehr, sehr empfehlenswert (nicht unbedingt im Haupthaus ein Zimmer nehmen - vielleicht zu lebhaft und anonym)
Anbindung nach Pattaya einfach: Alle Minute kommt ein Songthaew (Sammeltaxi) und faehrt fuer 20 Baht in die Stadt, ganz egal wo man aussteigt.
Strand gut zum Relaxen, sauber und mit einfachem, aber guten Service. Seven e eleven fuer guenstige Getraenke 20 m vom Strand.

Grand Jomtien is a nice hotel.
So is the chalet ving, with the swimmingpools.
But, a strange situation occured here and i would like to tell about it.
I booked 2 rooms in my name. No problems with Sawadee booking. Thai family of my wife was supposed to stay in room 2. When arriving reseption said problem with my booking, I could not have 2 rooms and rooms was more expensive for a thai. (first time I experienced in Thailand that anything is more expencive for a thai than for a foreigner) I was then charged extra 300 THB/ night. Since Sawadee booking say money paid is not refundable and I allready had paid 30000 THB for the rooms I felt i had no choice but to pay extra 300 THB for 10 nights (3000 THB). My wife checked by phone room rate for Thai and she was told 1550 THB witch was 200 THB over the price I paid on Internett.Strange? Well, 3,5 Years ago I was att this same hotel with the thai family of my wife in one of two booked rooms and paid by me. No question about extra charge for thai that time, Strange?
In this case I am not happy with the hotel and their way of doing business This was my 3 time on grand Jomtien and propably my last time. Presenting to customers/guests this kind of strange charges is not a clever way to do business or run a hotel.
And, plenty of cats running around in the chalet ving without owners. I dislike it when cats go around close to the trolley where the bed linnen is. A cat also had given birth inside the hotel.
And also 3 dogs (no tag, not vaccinated) and propably without ower also living in the swimmingpool area. The wild life should be cleaned up on the hotel... <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span> |
