Anandah Beach Resort, Takuapa, Phang-Nga 82190 - Review ...

We booked 3 nights stay at first, but decided to stay another 3 as the hotel was so wonderful. Beautiful beach view, nice beach resturant, nice staff, nice bungalows, nice pool etc etc. Can definitely recommend this resort to people who want to relax and enjoy the best of Thailand. |
The booking service worked out just fine. Rapid treatment. |

Anandah Beach Resort, Takuapa, Phang-Nga 82190 - Review ...
Anandah is a fantastic resort!!
I really enjoyed my four days there.
It is a small resort with about 25 bungalows on or near the beach.
They have a restaurant with nice and tasty thai food (their Tom Yam soop is delicious), a beach bar and a pool.
I can really recommend Anandah if you just want to relax for a few days. |
Excellent as always! |

Anandah Beach Resort, Takuapa, Phang-Nga 82190 - Review ...
Very nice resort, clean and spacy bungalows. Quiet, calm and stressless atmosphere. Fantastic beach, but the water was more sandy than clear. The menu for breafast was unnescessarily complicated, and the menus for lunch and dinner were not very extensive, and seemed to be somewhat tailored for Germans, but the food was very tasty so the chef did a great job. We would really like to visit this resort again. |

Anandah Beach Resort, Takuapa, Phang-Nga 82190 - Review ...
A peaceful paradise by the ocean.the bungalow that we lived in was very nice, clean and large with good extrabed for our daughter. It was a bathroom with large bathtub and a shower outside in the free.Very nice patio in the front with 4 chairs and two tables ,a lot of space. Our bungalow was right down nearest the beach so we can hear and see the ocean from our patio.Just to go outside and a few meters you are at the beach. They also had a nice pool with poolbar and very calm ,no so many families with small children.
Int he restaurant they have nice breakfast with standard menu to choose from and open space there we can join our food and look at the wild life at the same time. The personal was very serviceminded and learned very fast what we liked. They really did everything to make us feel at home.
Everything from extra strong coffee to the winelist in the evenings and had an eye for all the guests in the room.
We will come back here thats for sure if we can beacause it was a wonderful place, nice food and nice beach to take long walks in with not a crowd of people everywhere.
If there is something negative to say it is that you have to learn to calm down here because there is nothing else to do here....Enjoy!!! |
The booking for this hotel was superb.Good service, fast and efficient even when we got the wrong date they did that very fast to adjust. And it answered to our expectations the hotels and everything. And they have their own transfer from airport to hotel by a ferry that took a little bit of time when they wait for everyone to get on it. |

Very quiet hotel. Beautiful grounds but watch out for mosquito and it is a long and expensive journey to pier/ restaurants etc.. They know this and charge too much for hotel food/taxi service. My tip is use Taco Time restaurant as you get free taxi service! |
Very Good. |

Anandah Beach Resort, Takuapa, Phang-Nga 82190 - Review ...
Nice hotel with spacey bungalows and bathroom. Very clean and with fresh flowers for welcome. The staff was very friendly and made everything possible. You have lots of palm for giving shadow on the beach. The beach itself it magnificent, you can walk on and on without any hotels. In the neighbour you can find a minimart and tour office. The restaurant is fine. We spent a perfect time. |

Anandah Beach Resort, Takuapa, Phang-Nga 82190 - Review ...
Paradise on earth... This is what comes to our mind, when we reminisce about Koh Koh Kao and Amandara Island Resort. If there´s anything to complain about at all, well, then it´s the crystal clear water, that is promised in the resort s description, but turns out to have no visibility at all, due to sandy and muddy particles floating in the water. If you are looking for a place to go snorkling, then this is definitely the wrong place to go to. Also, when you are looking for clubbing, party and loud music. Don´t go to Koh Koh Kao!!!
But if you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, clean beach houses, one of the best food and nicest located restaurants on the island (in the sand, among palm trees, just a footstep away from the sea, with decent music in the background and no anoying flashing and blinking lights), then this is definitely the place to go.
The Island can be reached by ferry, the best thing to do is to book the hotel s own shuttle service, as the ride from Phuket Airport is about 1-1 1/2h.
The Pool is nicely surrounded by exotic plants, well maintained and clean.
The resorts offers a truly relaxing massage hut, that a lot of tourists make use of. Prices are o.k.
We made use of the hotels own scooter rental (just BHT 300,-per day) and discovered the whole Island, which is a lot of fun, as there is not much traffic going on. Riding up to the North Tip, you really feel far away from any touristic location, it´s just you, nature and the natives. A big praise to these people, who were all so friendly and helpful (bearing in mind, that most of them have lost friends or family members in the Tsunami). This island has not been flooded by mass tourisms so far and hopefully never will. But as mentioned, it was partially flooded by the Tsunami, some areas in the north of the Island still show, how strong this impact must have been.
Amandara is the last resort on a 20km long sandy Beach, so you can spend hours of walking along the beach, only meeting a few tourists from the other resorts. (or a herd of water buffalos!!! :-) )
If you plan to go diving or snorkeling, the island is quite conveniently located. We went for a one day diving trip to the Similan Islands also the Surin Islands are about the same distance. The Island is not an Island the you need to spend hours on the boat to reach it, like explained, it´s just a 10min ferry ride from the main land away. This offers possibilities to book various day trips directly at the hotel reception. We booked a one day trip, that was lead by our own guide to the elephants in the jungle, wonderful lunch in the middle of a tree top restaurant and a 1h kajak ride that was adventurous (beware of the snakes :-) ) , relaxing and romantic. Just amazing.
We have spoken to people, who stayed first at Amandara for a week, then went to Phuket for another week and who wished, they could have stayed at Amandara. By the way, the resort was just built in 2003. The only good English speaking employee is Khun Jay, the receptionist. But that s o.k. because all employes really were so friendly and helpful.
If you are planning to stay at Amandara, I suggest to plan at least 7, if not 10 days. Even though it´s a very calm island, you can book a lot of daytrips, as prior mentioned.
We definitely recommend this resort, if it had clear waters our rating would be A+!!! |
Everything went fine, hotel was informed, would definitely book through sawasdee again. |
