There are not too many hotels in the city area. So, this hotel can be say the best hotel in the city. Hotel is clean, but old. Look like going back to years of James Bond s movie. Motor bike rental is easy, but car rental is disappointed in Kanachanburi. Perhaps poor business at there. There is only 1 agent, Good Time Travel to handle car rental.
Perfect. No doubt at all

Ok for the price but would not recomend for any more than 1 night. Staff not friendly at all. We were booked for honeymoon in a non-smoking room and they gave us a room with 2 single beds. When we asked to change rooms to a double they put us in a smoking room that a heavy smoker had been in. Reasonably clean for 1 night (apart from the cigarette smell) but would not do a long stay.
Sawadee.com is a pleasure to book through.

For a 3 star the hotel was great. We really liked the location as we were able to walk to a lot of places during the day and then just got on the back of a bike to visit places farther away, which was great fun! If we were to go back we would stay there again. On the advice of some friends we did request a quiet room, although we could still hear the base of the music which wasn t too bad for us as we stayed out mostly, it did finish at a reasonable time. The service provided by guest relations and reception was very helpful and informative.
Had no problems - very straight forward

This is about my fourth stay at the hotel in three years. I cannot fault the place. Perfect location, just 1Km from the bus terminal in one direction, and the railway station and War Cemetery in the other. Was rather disappointed with the Thai breakfast this time around, although there is still the best breakfast choice I have ever seen at any Thai hotel. Staff have limited English - the hotel seems to be mainly for wealthier Thai people to stay at. Your other options are resorts up along the Kwai river, which you will need to book through tour agents in order to get there unless you are driving yourself. But I love the place - I do not go to Thailand to mix with Westerners - I do that back here in Aussie all the time. If you want to tour the Tiger Temple and Hellfire Pass etc, hire a songtiew (two bench car) at the bus station. You should pay B700 for a half day, and twice this for a full day. You go where YOU want to go, not where the tour operator wants to take you! (I hired a half day to the Tiger Temple for the above price).I rate the hotel service as excellent, but then, I speak a few words of Thai, which helps.
Never a problem, I ALWAYS use them!

This is a three star hotel so one shouldn t expect more. On the plus side location is good especially if you don t have your own transport, the room was comfortable with lovely large feather pillows, swimming pool big with pleasant sun deck and there is a small fitness room. On the minus side, breakfast is adequate though not inspiring, although the coffee is surprisingly good but they insist on serving sweetened milk. If you have a room facing the front don t even think about trying to sleep until the disco finishes at 2:00am. When checking in ask for a quiet room at the back. Check in staff were helpful and spoke good English. Internet available at 80 baht per hour.
Booking service was fine although would be easier if they accepted Thai bank debit cards on the internet booking service.

The breakfast was amazing. I paid for a week of breakfast on my credit card so it felt like I was getting food for free. The rooms were nice equipped with TV, chairs, and beds. The beds were comfy. My boyfriend and I had two single beds but the bed had wheels on them so we could push them together. The front desk helped me find the bus number I needed. The hotel is not far from the bus station which was really helpful to me as we did not have too much money for taxis. We took the bus every time we went somewhere! The decor is beautiful in the breakfast/dinning room. I love how they include plant life on the outside windows where you eat. Their sweet and sour pork is amazing. The sauce tastes good on anything. The only thing that could be a problem for someone tall is that the bathroom ceiling isn t high but since I m average height it was fine. It was a magical adventure there. We went to Tiger Temple twice, Elephant park in Sio Yok, Erawan Waterfall, and Safari Park. We didn t need a tour guide to get around just used our wits and the bus. There was of course a language barrier but that is to be expected going into a different country.

As far as anchanaburi is concerned, this is probably one of the better hotels in town, but that is not saying much! The staff on the front desk and bell-hops are VERY UNFRIENDLY and we seemed to be an annoyance more than a paying customer. The breakfast was horrid; a huge selection, but everything inedible. It is like the same food was recycled from the prior week. The restaurant staff were also rude and unhelpful. The lady at the pool was lovely. The security guards at the front car park were great. All other staff need a real wake-up call!! The room was in need of a fix. Light fittings broken and some lights not working. The bathroom had bad water pressure and was not entirely clean. I would not want to stay there again.
Booking service was perfect. The hotel sucked!

We are a family of four (our children are two boys aged 6 and 4). We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel despite bad press in our travel guide. The room was decent (for the price paid), the pool was great and the location reasonably near tourist locations around Kanchanaburi (city). However, the food was poor - we would not eat there again.
Fine.
