Baan Gong Kham, Chiang Mai 50300 - Review ...
The Resort Baan Gong Kham is just a juwel and we don’t know if we should recommend it because we don’t want to find it outbooked when we are going to Chiang Mai – and that means to Baan Gong Kham - next time.
It is a small resort ; beside the guesthouse it has 4 houses in lanna style, each house with two floors, terrasse or balcony, looking on a small beautyful garden which is nurtured by Beer, the very charming and attentive host.
But before booking the Resort one should know that it is about 2 km away from the city of Chiang Mai. That means you have either to rent a motorbike or need a tuk-tuk or a taxi each time you want to go to the city (one way = 150 Baht). The only restaurant near to it – just on the other side of the street - is a very exyclusive one, «Le Crystal», with an excellant french Cuisine but of course the prices are in the same range (about 10-20 times higher than a thai restaurant), not just a place a family likes to go every day.

Baan Gong Kham, Chiang Mai 50300 - Review ...
We were picked up from the airport by a taxi driver that had been arranged by the hotel owner. The hotel is very charming decorated in a rustic style, very clean and comfortable. Our room had a huge spa bath which was excellent and the little extra personal touches. The owner and his staff were very friendly. It was cheap and easy to get into the City and quite nice to be in a quieter area. I would recommend staying there and would love to go back in the future. |
The booking service was easy and efficient. Thank you |
