Lamai Hotel, Patong Beach
Stayed here many many times. Clean, good price, good room. But now short on basic maintenance like the electrics for the hot water which led me to tape the circuit breaker switch to on so I could have a shower longer than 30 seconds. All the usual good service and friendly massage girls who do a great professional job. Would I stay here again? Yeah for sure. |
Easy but payment process long winded. Didn t seem to have the option of paying in full one go. |

Sugar Palm Kata Resort & Spa, Kata beach
The hotel is nice but it shows that they don t keep up with renovations. The staff was mostly helpful but at check-in they delayed us for almost an hour, and at check-out thay had charged us for items in the minibar that we had not taken and they refused to admit that they had made a mistake. The receptionists were VERY RUDE!!!
Also, the pool-access rooms have no steps or ladder from the terrace so if you re not young and fit you should not expect to be able to get back onto your terrace directly from the pool. About 1,5 meters deep closest to the terraces. |

Patong Beach Lodge, Patong Beach
We (18 of us) enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the hotel staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and the hotel facilities are reasonable for the value that we have paid. It is also located at place where all the amenities and shopping malls are within walking distance. |
The booking service is efficient although we are a bit disappointed with the airport transfer arrangement. |

Katathani Phuket Beach Resort, Kata Noi Beach
This hotel was very nice. Be aware that its a long ride from the airport, and the beach is red-flagged for swimming. Reception is nice and professional, and the rooms are well equipped, clean, and have great views. Staff is friendly and professional. The service in the lobby for booking day trips and excursions is handy, but remember to ask about the travel times to and from attractions, as this hotel is on the southern end of the island and you could end up in a van for 1.5 - 2 hours on either end of your excursion. Prices here are reasonable. Breakfast buffet was included and was quite good - lots of choices, quality ingredients, right temperature, etc. Dinner, on the other hand, was a disappointment. We tried the La Scala Italian restaurant at the resort, and while the drinks were quite tasty, the food wasn t. (Luckily, there s a great restaurant called Two Chefs that is a five minute, 150 thb taxi ride away - their cocktails and long drinks are not great, but their food is fantastic and highly recommended.) The spa at Kata thani resort is decent, but don t expect anything over-the-top; its adequate, but that s all. Overall rating here would be about 3 out of 5. |
No issues with booking service. Handled the deposit and etc. on line. I question why the transfer from the airport to the hotel cost 1500 thb, but the trip from the hotel to the airport was only 750. Markup much?? |

Andaman Bangtao Bay Resort, Bang Tao Beach
Rooms excellent, Breakfast good, obliging and keen to give us what we wanted to eat. Dinner at night average, only dined there the once as a result. Good to know that when the tide is in you cannot walk along the beach. Wonderful to sit on the edge of the sea and eat. Only place we saw that truly had bungalows so close to the sea. I would have liked to see the staff dressed more carefully in clean ironed looking tropical garb. A bit scruffy some of them but super and friendly. We were the only ones there and for a total rest - yes we would go back. Value for money. They need to be sure they do not let there standards drop just because it was the low season. |

Salathai Resort, Patong Beach
This was my second time staying at the hotel. We had such a fantastic time...the rooms are just lovely and the hotel is very well maintained. Breakfast could be better though. The most memorable thing was the staff getting me a birthday cake and surprising me at my room....i am sooo very grateful and touched! |

This is our second stay on Kata Beach Resort - this time to celebrate our 25 marriage anniversity together with our children and grand children. The hotel is the best we ever stayed at anywhere in the world: top quality, top staff, top facilities. The hotel is situated at the south end of Kata Beach, right on the beach. You sit in the pool area and enjoy the view of the bay and you fall asleep to the pleasent sound of the ocean. The restaurant have theme nights at reasonable rates and very good quality, but we prefer to visit the nearby Mom Tri restaurant: Oasis. Worthy of 1 or 2 stars, should Michelin ever drop by. We will definately visit Kata Beach Resort again. |

Thara Patong Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach
My 3rd stay at the Thara Patong Resort. The property is still an excellent value, with good location and all the facilities of a major resort. I stayed in a Superior room and the room was in decent condition. However, the bathroom tiles can use some strong cleaning of the mold buildup.. |

our pool side room was fantastic however
the rest of the hotels services leave a bit to be desired. a poolside bar was advertised but was non existant no problem for us but the other patrons were annoyed. breakfast was average at best,an egg bar that does nt do scrambled eggs !!!! at least the produce was fresh.just little things like trying to get towels for your room was very frustrating. i think this place has the potential to very good but i won t be back. |
