Khao Lak Emerald Beach Resort & Spa, Khao Lak, Lamru
Nicely built, clean resort on the Khao Lak South beach. Its away from the center but has free shuttle service to the center. As our visit was at the end of season it was very quiet and unpersonal despite the very friendly staff. Some restaurants are around the resort. In the National Park just beside is a beautiful little lonely sandy beach, entrance fee 100 bhat. The trip to similan islands of season is gambling with the weather conditions - but we were lucky
quick and easy

Mukdara Beach Resort, Khao Lak, Bang Niang Beach
really nice hotel, very friendly stuff, big breakfast buffet, rooms were spacious, clean and cozy, the only disadvantage is that there is no shadow at the beach and you have to lie at the pool under the parasoil.had a perfect stay there.
perfect as always

Takolaburi Cultural and Spa Resort, Khao Lak, Pakalang Cape
Rooms and facilities were quite good but clients need to know before they get there that the resort is 10 km from town. The only dissappointment for us was the lack of customer service from staff and management. I wouldn t recommend eating there either, the food was expensive and not all that good.
Booking service worked well except that I was forced to pay for a breakfast which i didn t ultimately get! Management refused to refund this.

The Andamania Beach Resort, Khao Lak, Khuk Khak Beach
Very nice indeed, it is very newly built (at our stay only 4 months old). Perfect place to spend some time with someone special. Staff very friendly. Clean rooms. Nice food.
Very good as usual!

Mukdara Beach Resort, Khao Lak, Bang Niang Beach
Great room, especially the bathroom. Really nice hotel, and right on the beach. Staff were always attentive, good breakfast spread, close enough to all you need. I suggest renting a motorbike for the stay (200-250Baht per day, but worth it)- taxi s can get a little pricey! I would definitely stay here again.
Very easy, and good price.

Ayara Villas, Khao Lak, Bang Niang Beach
We were five people from Russia and we stayed at Ayara Villas from 18 till 27 of April, 2008, having booked a special package from Sawasdee (9-10 nights staying – pay for 5). There were no many people here this time. We ve made a conclusion that it s worth spending Your holidays in this resort. It s not a big one, better to say middle-sized, and we liked it. Super green area, full of plants, palms, wonderful smelling flowers. Very calm and quite atmosphere. It s a new-rebuilt resort (after tsunami). Every bungalow is well-equipped, nice and clean swimming pools with jacuzzi and water facilities. Really no more than 100 m up to the sandy beach with warm ocean water (mostly suitable for the families with children, I suppose). But no any coral places – so do address tourist bureau if you like and travel to the islands (Surin, Similan). Breakfast – quite enough and more, but a little bit similar every day (however, the food was not the main aim of our trip in Thai). Many restraunts and cafes, small shops, tourist desks nearby, 3-days working market in Bang Niang (10 minutes walking). We rented a motorbike and a car, so it was easy for us to travel along Khaolak area and to Phuket. We were impressed visiting waterfalls, swimming there is a beautiful contrast with surrounding +30-35° temperature. Some notice: - one-way taxi to Khaolak center is 150 B and no more, to Bang Niang 70-100 B - to change money is better in Khaolak center (because of rate) - to buy European (Italian, French) wine – also to Khaolak center. Grand thanks to Thai people, to the owners of resort, to friendly and polite staff for their hospitality
Thank You, no problem

Haadson Resort, Khao Lak, Bangsak Beach
We thoughroully enjoyed our time here, although it was the end of the high season we managed to have the resort to ourselves ( well 6 persons at any one time there) :-) The only feedback I can offer is that the command of English needs to be improved in the restaurant & front desk. Apart from that we were very satisfied with our stay and would strongly recommend this resort for a quiet & relaxing vacation. 1.5hrs from Phuket Intl 15 mins to Khao Lak center 400 THB taxi to/from resort to Khao Lak
Always correct & prompt

Andaburi Resort, Khao Lak, Bang Niang Beach
Requested non-smoking room with three single beds. Received a smoking room with one double and one single so had to move. Friend is vegetarian and had to send her breakfast back on numerous occassions despite explaining in both Thai and English. Overall service was poor, but rooms ok and setting good for the shops and beach.

Baan Krating Khao Lak, Khao Lak, Khuk Khak Beach
Great - we can recommend Baan Krating. No cockroaches (like other customers described), wonderful locacation, surrounded by the jungle. The road is no problem if you have a bungalow near the beach. Nice staff, very helpfull. Right: many steps. If you are elder or disabled - not the right place for you! Distance to Kao Lak city : You can reach supermarkets, restaurants and travel agencys within 30 min walk.
no problems - great service
