this is a really nice place to stay. the staff is friendly and the food is very good. it s close enough to the action, but far enough not to hear any thing.

Palita Lodge, Haad Rin Beach
Another great time at the Palita Lodge! Luxury bungalows and friendly management on the less noisy side of the unforgettable Had Rin beach, right next to everything! Thank you, and see you soon again!
Perfect!

Santhiya Resort and Spa, Ao Thong Nai Pan Noi
Santhiya is a very nice resort in a beautiful landscape. Rooms: We stayed 9 nights in the villa suite. They are available with indoor and outdoor bathroom. We had first the outdoor version and changed it after a week into the indoor one. For a few days it is a nice experience, but if you are sensitive to bugs, heat, or rain, better choose the other version. The rooms are nicely designed and decorated. The cleanliness is very good. Management & staff: like everywhere in Thailand every employee is very friendly and smiles all the time. Unfortunately this is sometimes their only competence. For a 5 star resort it happens very often that you recieve answers like sorry, i don t know, I have to check paired with a sincere smile when asking even simple questions. But that terrible inefficiency seems to be normal in Thailand. We experienced that even in American Hotels like the Millenium Hilton in Bangkok. If you have crucial questions better ask one of the managers. F&B: The food in both restaurants is very good and compared to western countries reasonably priced. Due to the fact that wages in Thailand are 90% lower than in some western countries, we did not unterstand why the food is only 10-20% cheaper than in Europe. That s the reasons why most of the guests visit after a couple of days only the restaurants outside the resort at the beach, where prices are 50% lower. Due to the fact that Santhiya offers NO bar that is opened in the evening it is necessary to leave the resort anyways, when you are not willing to spend the time after dinner only in your room. Overall impression: All in all Santhiaya is perfect for honeymooners and couples looking for silence and privacy. If you are interested in meeting other people or even entertainment, you probably get bored pretty soon. But for relaxation and some sort of luxury away from the cheep and crowded bars of koh samui, Santhiya is probably one of the best places in south east Thailand.

Fieldparadise Village, Ban Tai Beach
Staff were not the most cheerful, food was pretty dull. Get what you pay for as long as you don t mind sleeping with A LOT of bugs. On a beautiful beach though and they run taxi s to full moon as long as you have been drinking in their bar beforehand.
Great, again.

Coco Garden Bungalows, Ban Tai Beach
I stayed here for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The bungalows are tastefully decorated and clean...each with a balcony and your own hammock. There is a really good vibe here and it s all geared towards chilling out, the bar and restaurant have lots of pillows to lie around on which is a nice touch. If you are feeling adventurous though, the owners, Adam and Lee are more than willing to share their island advice with you. Coco gardens can also assist you with bookings for your onward travel should you wish to leave. Only slight bad point is that the sea here is too shallow to swim in but it s easy to get to the numerous other beaches for a dip.
Efficient and accurate description of the bungalows. I would use Sawadee again if i was booking accomodation in this area.

Nice, clean bungalows right on the beach. Away from the touristy beaches but easily accessible by taxi.

Milky Bay Resort, Ban Tai Beach
Very nice hotel with exceptional friendly staff. The rooms are quite big and stylish .I had a wonderful stay there. The only minus was that even they have a AIS Plus sign all around the resort, they won t accept the card for discounts and I got charged for Minibar items I didn t drink. Still thumbs up from me. Great place to be and i will definitely going back.

Central Cottage, Thong Nai Pan Bay
Tong Nai Pan Yai is heavenly - Central adds to it. Pool is a big bonus. Cheap A frames too ( not via Sawadee )that gives you access to all. Breakfast limited but OK. Price is good. Restaurant food very good. Check out Dolphin - its great. Climb over or transfer to Tong Nai Pan Noi for a little bit more action if necessary.
1st timer virgin and they delivered. Used them a further 4 times with NO problem.
