Boutique Raft Resort, Saiyoke This is probably my favorite trips during my stay in Thailand. Boutique Raft came highly recommended by a colleague, and I was not disappointed at all! Khun Wan and her husband were so hospitable and accommodating to me and my two guests visiting. They helped us to make a personalized package tour of exactly what we wanted to do, all of the preparations (meals, tours) were ready when we arrived at our destinations, and the rooms themselves were so lovely! What a site to wake up on the River Kwai. The only hitch was a delay in the train during our morning tour, but that was out of the hotel s control, and they were kind to suggest an alternative. Our driver for the two days was also kind, though our communication was a bit tough at times b/t my broken Thai and his broken English. Overall, I highly recommend Boutique Rafts and RCD Adventures (for our bamboo rafting, elephant riding, and elephant washing adventures). |
Easy to use, quick and dependable responses. |

Pung-Waan Kwai Yai Resort, Kwai Yai Wasn t that impressed with this hotel, for the money, we had stayed in much nicer. Hotel staff weren t that helpfull, pool wasn t that clean, bedrooms needed a make-over. And so far out of town you can t walk (and the Taxi fair was fortunes). Hotel was empty and isolated. |

Felix River Kwai, Muang, Thamakham Everything was great!!! We wished though that their sauna was free and also they should have their own boat to transport people to and from the other side of the river; not all people like to walk on the bridge. |
The booking was quick and reliable. |

Royal Riverkwai Resort & Spa, Kwai Yai This hotel is just fabulous with a view and river location to die for. It s set about 15 minutes drive outside of Kachanaburi town, so you have to take that into account when booking, but it is worth every second of the drive.
The hotel rooms are quite basic but lovely, although we were slightly dissapointed with the bathroom - our shower didn t work properly during one of the evenings - and the bathroom itself was more basic then we d have hoped. Having said that, it really didn t matter and we loved the room.
The service in the hotel and hotel restaurant is exceptional although we were less impressed with the food - we did stay out of season, so some of the food wasn t available, but our food wasn t as nice as restaurants outside of the hotel and it was obviously more expensive.
We would definitely come back to this hotel but perhaps in high season when there are a few more people around to give it more of an atmosphere. |
The booking service was just fantastic - we booked about 3 hotels through Sawadee.com and had no problems at all and the correspondence was really quick and helpful. Would definitely book with Sawadee.com again. |

Felix River Kwai, Muang, Thamakham We stayed at this hotel for 1 night and would have stayed longer if we had not got other bookings arranged, the staff were very helpful and the rooms were very nicely arranged - some parts could have been tidied up but on the whole it was good.
The pool was great - the best on our visit to Thailand and the food/service was good.
If you want a nice walk across the bridge to the resort it can be done in a few minutes, otherwise taxis have to take the longer route and may be expensive if you don t barter. They do provide a transfer from the hotel to the town but that depends on if the vehicle is available - otherwise the staff at the tour desk will arrange one at a very reasonable price and they re really helpful too!!
Enjoyed our stay and would go there again. |
As reliable as always. Good rates and very quick responses. |

River Kwai Jungle Rafts, Saiyoke Lodge was very relaxing. A bit of a trek getting there but well worth it. 2-3 days is perfect. I would suggest hiring a private taxi to drop you off at the dock if you are traveling with a large party. Comes out about the same. |
perfect. |

Pavilion Rim Kwai Resort, Kwai Yai I have been twice in the resort because of its location. I went to Kanchanaburi to buy rocks and stones and the resort is conveniently located. However the resort seems to be run down a litle. The prices are at the high side for what they offer. The park is beautiful. The food is awful. One should avoid to eat there for dinner or lunch. The breakfast is OK. |
The booking service is good. |

Momchailai Forest Retreat, Saiyoke Beautiful location and even better service/staff.
The front of house man, Win, spoke excellent English and helped us organise everything we did. He personally took us to places and was incredibly informative about each and everyone of them. As we are vegetarians they catered off menu for us everyday and organised the same when we were outside the resort. This place comes with my highest recommendation! |
Efficient, safe and helpful! |

Pung-Waan Kwai Noi Resort, Saiyoke Very nice hotel. The location was great. We stayed in a 6 person floating house and it was perfect for a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 small kids). The kids had fun in the pool and the playground (which was quite large). I would definitely recommend this hotel for the cost and benefits. |

River Kwai Hotel, Muang Overall the hotel was good although it could do with an update. The pool was really nice, a good size and the breakfast more than suffient. The hotel is away from the main restaurants but they have reasonably priced food and entertainment. Bikes can also be hired to allow you to visit the sights and it is close to the bus station and tourist information. Would use again. |
Easy booking service and kept up to date by email which was good. |
