Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road Very nice, quiet, great pool, convenient location although not within walking distance of Night Bazaar. Only thing I did not like was the policy of not allowing food in the room from outside the hotel, although you could order from the hotel restaurant and there was a stocked refrigerator in the room. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road The hotel is beautiful and worth every satang. The staff at the front desk however, especialy de girl in grey, is rude. |

Luck Swan Resort & Spa, Chiang Rai-Rimkok Nice newer hotel with pool near the big bridge in Phitsalounouk. A little bit hard to find, since there is no large sign from the main road. Very beautiful hotel with nice comfortable rooms. Totally underbooked, so often empty at times. The poolboy has not shown up in a week (Green tiles at the bottom of pool)... I like the hotel, but the resort is suffering from a lack of bookings. The breakfast is nothing special. The often usual cold fried egg with a measely slice of ham and some barely warm toast... There was only lite sugar which I can not stand and the ketchup container was filled with chilli sause... have seen that before in Thailand too. Aircon was off in the dining area, so enjoy eating some of your own sweat... Eventhough there are these minor inconveniences I have stayed art the Luck Swan 2 times already since the quality and price are fair and there is free internet near the reception area. I was only able to watch Thai TV, since the hotel had not paid their UBC (Satellite TV) bill... Hope some good programs next time, but i doubt it. |
Res24asia.com, no problem at all, great rates and service as usual. |

Wang Thong Hotel Maesai, Chiang Rai This hotel is located near the border of Myanmar and very convenient to stay. But around here, if you want to take a meal, there are only outstanding restaurants. (actually some restaurant is exist but no customers in there) I think this is good situation for foreigner to enjoy Thai local life style. And further in Myanmar, at Tachleik, my first impression is dusty atmosphere. |

Wangcome Hotel, Pemawibhata Road Hotel was centrally located to town. Good buffet breakfast. Hotel staff were courteous and helpful. Rooms were clean and AC worked and was needed given the hot humid weather. English was a bit limited and staff always willing to bring additional help to figure it out. |
Great booking service with good turn around time and updating additional changes. |

Phu Chaisai Mountain Resort & Spa, Mae Chan This resort is something very special! I have travelled round the world, being outside of my own country for more than 6 000 days, and this resort was abel to make a very special impression on me and my family. We are planning to stay again for a longer time. My son said that he wants to stay at Phu Chaisai until the day we die.
The place is tranquile and peaceful. It is remote but it has all the conveniences of home.
We stayed at a villa which had its own private pool. In addition, a bigger swimming pool is at the disposal of all guests. There even was a Finnish sauna next to the swimming pool, free of charge.
The garden is large and well-maintained. The mountain view is beautiful.
The staff was always most helpful and kind. The owner couple is there to see that everything is going fine.
To our surprise, the resort arranged a small outing for all of the guests, free of charge. During the trip, we had a chance to go elephant riding and to pick fresh berries in a garden.
The only thing that I was wondering about is that how is this place going to make money. There were so few guests there.
I hope more people will get to know about Phu Chaisai and have a chance to enjoy the special luxory that it offers.

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road Good Hotel & Resort with big room, good breakfast, clean environment and large swimming pool. If you are travelling by foot, its recommended that u choose somewhere nearer to the town, but if you drive, this is definitely a nice place to rest and relax. |
